YOGA INSTRUCTOR

For Marian, Yoga has been a life changing practice that allows her to expand her life not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well.  Since finishing her Yoga Certification she was able to transform her life.  From quitting a 9-5 job to starting her own business and new projects like Sourdough workshops, she transformed the fear to make her dreams come true into an urge to always follow her next level of excitement.

Marian found Yoga for the first time in 2010 during her university days in Mexico City.  She found yoga to be a great escape from the chaotic fast-paced  lifestyle she lived then.  She found it quite challenging but soothing at the same time at first.  As a very active person always looking for the next 5k, she always wanted more physical challenges so she signed up for all the yoga clases she could find and also for other classes like Capoeira, kickboxing and pilates but they were not the same.  She always felt the desire to learn more of yoga and participate more in the yoga lifestyle.  It wasn't until she moved to Michigan to work in IT that she gathered enough funds and was able to pay for her first Yoga Certification specializing in Hatha Yoga.  She finally found what she was looking for, the physically challenging part (a lot of soreness but a lot of gratification too) and the spiritual expansion while meditating and going deep into the yogi philosophy.

A couple months after finishing her certification she heard of a cool space in Detroit that needed Yoga teachers, Vámonos Detroit's Local Healthy Eatery & Creative Space.  She ventured to give her first group classes to the latino community there.  Later she was invited to be a substitute teacher for Bodhi Yoga in downtown Farmington and also guide yoga in Spanish once a month!
And she didn't stop there.  After that Marian enrolled in an Ayurveda Certification and Naturopathy.

She enjoys guiding hikes with women and finishes these hikes with yoga outdoors in the warmer days. Marian also loves backpacking and making Sourdough bread, often running Sourdough workshops at Vamonos. In addition Marian guides Zoom online meditations every Tuesday for the latina community as another method to assist others to go deep within and connect to their true selves.  She has a strong commitment to share with others the peace and happiness she has found through yoga and spiritual practices and help others to find their way to peace and happiness!
