YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Nayomi was introduced to yoga in 7th grade by her father. He brought her along to his regular classes and the practice has stayed with her since, taking many forms. She developed a regular practice while doing work-exchange at a studio in Guatemala. The primary sequence of ashtanga and the supportive yoga community helped Nayomi build strength and realign with her heart. She was inspired to travel to India to further her studies. 

She completed a 200 hour teacher training in Mysore at Samyak Yoga. In Rishikesh, she studied marma therapy and Ayurvedic nutrition at Ayuskama Institute of Yoga & Ayurveda. 

Her yoga practice has been a beautiful meeting point of her passions for food, movement, and healing. She is a farmer, certified reiki II practitioner, avid traveler, cook, and capoerista. Being a student and a teacher of yoga are essential elements of her commitment to building socially just futures with her community. She hopes to encourage students to cultivate internal awareness, harness their inner power, and align with the energy connecting us all both on and off the mat.
