During the early 2000’s Kisha was introduced to meditation. This is when she realized the healing properties of the breath. By using meditation she became able to strengthening concentration, control awareness, and increase relaxation in her every day life. It wasn’t until years later that she began her physical practice. In 2010, she started practicing yoga after being introduced by her at the time 3-year-old daughter. The mother-daughter duo begin to practice daily as a form of bonding and building as a family through yoga. She attended her first teachers training with yogafit in 2011, as a enrichment course to better develop personal practice. While attending a life power yoga class in 2013 Kisha met Kerrie Trahan and was immediately inspired by Trahan to continue her teacher training. Over the next few years Kisha attended several different teachers training including Yin, Vinyasa, and kids yoga. In 2018, Kisha decided to dedicate complete devotion to her practice by traveling to Indonesia to study yoga. After returning home she became proactive in sharing the practice of yoga with as many people as she could throughout the inner city of Detroit. Kisha feels this something so healing should not be kept a secret from areas that need it most. As a 200 hour plus trained yoga teacher she has dedicated her practice to healing and uplifting her community through yoga.
