About 2 years ago Clea Stumb realized yoga was helping her reach a power within that she had been unaware of. Soon after Clea moved from Brazil to the United States she was faced with the loss of her brother; then one year later, her father. Her “world crashed.” Practicing yoga helped her cope with it all. She recalls being so focused on using yoga for emotional strength , that she didn’t initially notice how strong she was physically becoming too!
Due to the impact yoga has had on Clea’s life she decided to sign up for Yoga Teacher Training. Clea earned her yoga teacher certification, RYT-200 from Detroit Yoga Lab. Now, Clea shares the strengthening practice of yoga to help others the same way it helped her. Clea admits she has some healing to do. Yet she is grateful that through studying yoga she understands that both grief and joy can be carried at the same time. Clea aspires to share this message with her students. She believes that Yoga teaches us, “that we are entirely up to us,” and that no matter what you want in life —
“unleash the power within first, it will give you the power and momentum to achieve and overcome anything!” Clea shares her yoga journey, as she guides students through theirs as a Yoganic Flow instructor. Clea teaches a free weekly community yoga class in Southwest Detroit at Roberto Clemente, as well as Vinyasa and Hatha yoga classes at the Yoganic Flow Pop-Up Yoga Studio.
