Yoga found Aaron Shell at a young age. Often he would find himself mimicking the Yogi’s he saw on Ripley’s Believe it or Not. This led Shell to purchase a used copy of, The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga, with Swami Vishnudevananda, from the local library. From there his journey began. After graduating high school he would go to whatever community yoga class he could find.
Years later Shell would find himself a student of Johnny Kest at the Center for Yoga, in Birmingham Michigan. Ever since Shell has sought to share this gift of yoga, or union in my community. For a couple years, Shell volunteered to work with Danielle Karmanos Work it Out program, sharing yoga with the youth of Detroit. Shell continues to offer yoga in the community with Yoganic Flow where he teaches yoga at no-cost to residents in Palmer Park.
As Shell looks back he can see where yoga has allowed him to become the best healer, teacher, and individual that he can be. And today Aaron Shell vows to share this ancient practice of self-awareness and unification one individual at a time.
